Housing business lands on Bristol and Somerset committee agendas for the same Friday

A cluster of committee papers published on 10 and 11 September points to a busy fortnight of local government business across the Bristol area and neighbouring authorities.

Housing is on the agenda in two council areas on the same day. Bristol City Council's Homes and Housing Delivery Policy Committee is due to meet on Friday 18 September, with an agenda that includes an annual cladding remediation update report [1][8]. Somerset Council's Scrutiny Committee for Adults, Health and Housing is also scheduled for Friday 18 September [16].

Bristol's published papers also show public forum slots attached to several meetings: the Public Health and Communities Policy Committee on 11 September [10], the Downs Committee on 14 September [11], and Area Committee 7 covering Southville, Bedminster, Windmill Hill and Filwood on 15 September [4].

Elsewhere, Somerset Council published an agenda and an outcome tracker supplement for its Children and Education scrutiny committee on 21 September [12][13], an agenda for its Planning Committee (West) on 22 September [14], and recorded that its Pension Fund Committee met on 11 September [15]. Gloucester City Council published minutes of its Licensing and Enforcement Committee meeting of 8 September [17].
