Week of official statistics links insolvency, road congestion, nature access, planning and health

A cluster of official statistical releases published between 18 and 20 August covers issues from individual insolvency to public health.

The Insolvency Service said it published monthly individual insolvency figures for England and Wales, including bankruptcies, debt relief orders and individual voluntary arrangements, on 18 August [1]. The same body also released company insolvency figures for England and Wales on that day [2].

The Department for Transport said it released travel time measures for the Strategic Road Network and locally managed 'A' roads for the year ending June 2026 on 18 August [3][4]. On 19 August, it issued provisional 2026 statistics for the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Mandate [6] and the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation [7].

Natural England said it published the 2022 update of the Children's People and Nature Survey for England on 19 August [5].

The Planning Inspectorate said it published experimental statistics on Ministerial Measures performance on 20 August [8]. The UK Health Security Agency said it released weekly all-cause mortality surveillance for 2026 to 2027 on the same day [9], alongside a cold mortality monitoring report for winter 2025 to 2026 [10].

The releases span individual and company insolvency, road congestion, children's access to nature, transport fuel supply, planning performance and mortality.
