Police panel meeting and family-history crime records talk land days apart
A police panel meeting and a family-history event on criminal court records are both on the local calendar in late September.
Two events six days apart in the Avon and Somerset area are both connected with crime and justice. Somerset Council's meeting listings show the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Panel is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, 22nd September at 10.30 am [2]. Bristol & Avon Family History Society will hold a Bath Group talk via Zoom on Monday, 28th September at 7.30 pm, on prison, criminal and legal court records [1]. The talk will cover the differences between Petty Sessions, Quarter Sessions and Assize Courts, and is aimed at people whose ancestors were victims or perpetrators of crime [1].
