Licensing hearings stack up across Bristol and neighbouring councils in late August

A string of licensing hearings and committee meetings are being held across Bristol and surrounding councils over a two-week span in late August, council papers show.

Bristol City Council has listed a Licensing (Hearings) Sub-Committee meeting for 10am on Thursday, 20 August, with agenda supplements referring to El Rincon and the former Odeon Cinema at 35 Union Street [1][4][11]. The council has also set a further licensing hearing for 10am on Thursday, 3 September [9].

Tewkesbury Borough Council held a Licensing Sub-Committee meeting at 2:30pm on Monday, 17 August, covering street trading and hackney carriage and private hire matters [2][5]. Cotswold District Council has scheduled a Licensing Sub-Committee meeting for 2pm on Wednesday, 19 August [3][6].

Earlier in the month, Cheltenham Borough Council published minutes from a Licensing Sub-Committee meeting held on 5 August [7], and Cotswold District Council published minutes from a Planning and Licensing Committee meeting on 11 August [10]. Gloucester City Council has added late material ahead of a Licensing and Enforcement Sub-Committee meeting scheduled for 6pm on Thursday, 27 August [8].
