Hollister’s Gloucester Quays arrival announced as shoplifting rises in the county

SoGlos reported that Hollister will open its first South West store at Gloucester Quays this autumn, with the American lifestyle brand joining the retailer lineup in Gloucestershire [1]. In the same week, BBC Gloucestershire reported that police in the county have recorded a rise in shoplifting and that shopkeepers in Gloucester say theft is now part of everyday life [2]. Separately, the Gazette Series, Stroud News and Journal, and Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard reported that Joni Mitchell tribute band This Flight Tonight will play Gloucester Guildhall on 8 October [3][4][5]. Read together, the items show a season in which a new retail opening and a concert booking are being announced while police report rising shop theft in the county.
