Bristol and Somerset hold simultaneous housing and health meetings in a two-day regional council cluster

The West of England saw a dense period of local government business on 17–18 September, as four councils scheduled or completed committee meetings across a range of policy areas. Bristol City Council's Transport & Connectivity Policy Committee was scheduled for 5pm on Thursday 17 September [1]. That same evening, Cheltenham Borough Council's Planning Committee and Forest of Dean District Council's Audit Committee were both scheduled for 6pm [2][3]; both have since been recorded as held [6][7]. On Friday 18 September at 10am, Bristol's Homes and Housing Delivery Policy Committee met [4][8], and Somerset Council's Scrutiny Committee for Adults, Health and Housing also convened at the same hour [5][9]. Additionally, Bristol City Council published a forward plan update for its Public Health and Communities Policy Committee on that day [10].
