Blockley by-election shares 24 September with council meetings across the region

Blockley's by-election and a cluster of local authority meetings across the region fell on the same day, 24 September. According to the Cotswold Journal, Conservative Tom Bradley was elected as the new Cotswold District Council member for Blockley in a by-election held on that date [11]. Bristol City Council held a Licensing (Hearings) Sub-Committee at 10.00 am [2]; Tewkesbury Borough Council held a Licensing Sub-Committee covering street trading and hackney carriage and private hire vehicles, drivers and operators at 10.30 am [3]; and Somerset Council's Constitution and Governance Committee met at 2.00 pm [6]. Bristol City Council's Environment and Sustainability Policy Committee met at 5.00 pm [5], Forest of Dean District Council's Overview and Scrutiny Committee met at 6.00 pm [8], Gloucester City Council met at 6.30 pm [7], and Bristol City Council's Area Committee 3 for Clifton, Clifton Down, Cotham, Hotwells and Harbourside also met at 6.30 pm [4].
